5th Class Ms Browne

Week 13 Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June

Week 13 June 22nd -26th

Dear parents and girls,

We have come to the end of another school year, and what a year it has been! There have certainly been many ups and downs but here we are at the end of fifth class looking forward to relaxing during the summer holidays.

Thank you, parents for your help and co-operation throughout the year, especially during these last difficult few months.  Your kind words during our phone conversations have been much appreciated.

Thank you, girls for working so hard throughout the year. I know working from home has not been easy but from our phone conversations and emails it is clear to me that some schoolwork has been done along with helping out at home and going for many walks. I wonder how many kilometres we have walked in total? We probably all need new runners by now!

I hope you all have wonderful summer holidays.  We may not be able to travel abroad but there are many wonderful places to visit in Ireland. We have wonderful beaches and woodlands nearby along with Fota Wildlife Park and Blarney Castle.

As this is the last week of school there is no written work to be done.  Enjoy trying out different sporting activities and virtual tours.  You can look back at Active Home Week (Week 6) if there was something you particularly enjoyed or try something new from the lists of activities the teachers have put together.

Keep an eye on the website for an interesting project called the Trinity Access – Archive Project where you can write or draw something to reflect your time during the pandemic and it will be kept for future generations to see.

Stay safe, keep washing your hands and follow the HSE Guidelines around social distancing.

I look forward to seeing you all again when we return to school in the autumn.

Margaret Browne
