Dear parents/guardians,
I know you and your daughter are excited about the First Communion. Given our new normal and the short time we have, much of the responsibility for religious preparation for the big day will fall to you -with the support of your child’s teacher.
Bit by bit, please teach your child the prayers before and after communion in advance of September 19th. Also, revise the mass responses. Your teacher has sent home a laminated sheet with all those for you.
You will receive a lovely free book which you can work on with your child in preparation for the first Communion. this is for home. Logistics will not allow for time to attend to it at school.
We do not know yet how many family members can attend the ceremony with your daughter. We are waiting for the next announcememt from the government on September 13th before we can confirm this number. It is very possible that only parents will be allowed to attend but again we will confirm that with you closer to the time.
