Ms. O’Sullivan’s 6th Class girls have been learning all about various methods of Food Preservation. Over the course of a week, the girls examined and recorded results of different samples of food and how they reacted to 4 different ways of Food Preservation – Fridge, Salt, Sugar and Drying. We tested Apples, Bananas, Bread, Tomatoes and Yoghurt. We discovered that generally most food lasts longer and stays fresher while being kept in the fridge!
