Dear Parents/Guardians,
Saturday September 26th will be a big day in your daughter’s life. We are all looking forward to a truly wonderful day.
The Government’s medium term plan for living with Covid was published today. Level 2 allows for a capacity of greater than 50 in separated sub-groupings of no more than 50, with additional protective measures as per guidelines.
We can achieve 2 separated sub-groupings by keeping to two groups. The groups will be the following.
Two people will now be allowed attend with each child.
Group 1 will sit on the left centre aisle and left side aisle and Group 2 will sit on the right centre aisle and right side aisle.
The seats have been marked in the church and people are asked to start sitting in the front seats and work backwards. One family of three people per seat ( The 6th Class Confirmation Girl and two people) There is no need for the sponsor on the day.
We have advised you by text which group your daughter is in. In the interests of privacy, we have included the groups below using initials only.
Group 1
HQ, AS, AM, JG, AH, MiMcC, MiMcM, SF,CB, KW,KB
Group 2
AOB, EOB, EC, KC, MeMc, HOC, KLOC,MF, MR, CG, HF
At the end of the ceremony
The children will process out of the church in their 2 groups. Group 1 will exit via the left hand door at the bottom of the church and Group 2 will exit via the right hand door at the bottom of the church.
Please note the following:
- The Confirmation Ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Mayfield.
- Children will need to be in their seats for 10.45 a.m.
- The sacristan and the priest will give the communion in their seats.
