On the 31st of May our school held a violin recital. We have been learning to play the violin all year with Tom and Orla, our amazingly patient teachers. We practiced a lot for show and invited our parents to watch. We set up the halla and the parents arrived. We played the pieces we had learned and everyone enjoyed the performance. Before the performance I felt a little bit nervous and apprehensive in case I made a mistake. After the performance I felt proud and believe it or not it wasn’t as bad as I thought. The parents clapped loudly and almost raised the roof. Playing the violin is challenging but rewarding at the end of the year. I hope to continue learning violin next year.
